Halloween Hop with Cut Cardstock

I am honored to be part of my first blog hop with Cut Cardstock. Have you heard of this awesome company? They carry an extensive selection of not only cardstock, but also other paper crafting basics at a great price. I discovered them through my friend Hannah and have been hooked ever since!

Cardstock Based Mini Album

I got a little carried away with my hop project. This little mini album has been rolling around in my head for months.

I was taking pictures of each step on how to create this interactive album, but I decided a video tutorial would be better.

The inside of the album after I got it decorated!

Each pocket holds an insert and more can be added as needed!

The corner pieces have three pop dots holding them down so pictures can easily be slid behind them.

Tags were created with leftover paper.

A couple close ups of the binding I created with cardstock:

To see the album in action, a complete walk thru and other supplies I used to create it check out this video:

I hope you enjoyed my Halloween project and found the tutorial on how to create the mini album useful! I am going to give this album away on my Instagram account once I hit 5K followers.

Now it’s time to hop! Your next spot is:

Major Fun Comic Book Mini Album

One of my favorite things in the December 2017 Bad Girls Couture Kit is the mini album! It is comic book images on scalloped pages. I had a few pictures of my son who is currently obsessed with Jurassic Park and basketball. We took a trip to Universal Studios and the Wax Museum in Hollywood two summers ago. I have been waiting for the perfect place to document them in and this little album was it! The kit came with cool little black pockets and white tags to journal on as well as fun colorful clips! I used ink to color the title to match and make it pop! Here is a flip through of the album:

I think it is perfect for a teenage boy!

Vacation Chunky Mini Album

One of my favorite things to do is travel. I love a good road trip! I often will go back to my home town. It is about a 12 hour drive and we have our favorite stops along the way. Half the fun is getting there! We love the journey. I created a mini album of our trips to California last summer. This is how I made the first page:

One of my favorite things is the tall base Architexture stickers from 7gypsies. They can double as a stencil and hold up nicely to sprays and paints. Here is where you can find all the supplies to make a mini album like this: Canvas Corp Brands Shop
I uploaded a video on my channel showcasing the rest of the album. Please check it out!

Tips, Tricks and ideas for Using Digital Download Kits!

I am part of a Christmas swap with a crafty group. I have a few fun craft goodies for my partner, but I also wanted to include something handmade. So, I put together the pieces for a Christmas mini album that she can bind and finish off with her special holiday stories and pictures. My very favorite Christmas kit is Joyful Christmas ! I decided to make the pieces from that 🙂

I get a lot of questions about the printer I use. For a long time I thought the paper had more to do with the quality of the image, but after a fight with my printer I learned it really does come down to the printer. I ended up having to print this kit on three different types of paper and I show them in the following video with further explanation. I also get asked about how to make pockets and I show one type you can make in it too! Lastly, I make a card from the cover sheet that is fast and gorgeous. I hope you watch the video and get a lot of ideas!

Far East Paper Bag Junk Journal

My daughter is taking Honors History this year. One of her assignments is to do a report on an Asian country’s history. Since she is in honors she gets a little bit more freedom with how to present the report. She has decided to present it in this paper bag journal I created. Her teacher gave her permission to use it knowing that I created it. My daughter is super excited to use do the report. I created a video for you on how it came together and a few tips on how to make one.

The Junk Journal kit is from Calico Collage
The paper trimmer is from Cutter Pillar . Make sure to use the coupon code: BETZ20 for 20% off your entire order.
