OH SNAP! Thanksgiving Card

Do you struggle with making Thanksgiving cards? I always have until I found this stamp set from Joy Clair. It totally has changed my Thanksgiving Card game.

Not only were these cards fun to make, by utilizing the same sketch I was able to use up a lot of my handmade and pattern paper.

Here are close ups of each of them:

Paper Details

The handmade paper I used on some of these cards were made on a geli press. Here is a video on how to do it:

Frogs, Flamingos and a Pineapple!

For this month’s Joy Clair design team assignments I made five cards (2 sets). The first set is in celebration of Joy Clair’s 5th Birthday.

I made the pattern paper on each of these cards with my gel press. The video on how to make your own is here:

The second set is a Bible art stamp set, but I thought it would be perfect for summer. I made cards with bright yellow and pink.

To see more on how to make any of these cards please visit the Joy Clair blog! I share all the details there 🙂

Mail Art with Gel Press and Art Foamies

I have a pretty good relationship with my mailman. He drops packages off about three times a week. Since I work from home I am usually at home and answer the door. He often will wait for me to answer and we will strike up a conversation. It was during one of these chats that he told me postal workers love to see envelopes decked out in art! Ever since I have been stamping, painting, and drawing on my envelopes.

One of my favorite techniques is using the gel press with paint and a Rita Barakat art foamie stamp. To keep a nice clean area for the address I use washi tape to mask off the spot to write. I use three strips of the standard size tape.

I created this particular envelope for a card I made that I will be sharing at the end of the month. So make sure you subscribe and don’t miss out! I am going to mail this to one of you with the card 😉

Here is how to create mail art . Make sure you check it out because it is a great tutorial!

Gel Plate Pressed Tote

We have a fun blog hop featuring Rita Barakat and Plaid Fabric Paint! This paint is wonderful. It is water soluble so clean up is a breeze, but once it is heat set it is permanent. This is the what I made with it:
