Near and Far Friends

One thing that I strive to do in my 40’s is cultivate meaningful relationships that are both near and far. I am blessed to have just that. Back home is one of my best friends from childhood and here in the valley is one of my best friends I met through the crafting industry whom introduced me to another friend.

I wanted to document these friendships on a page, but did not have all the right matching letters, so I have to get a little creative.

I was out of the letter “A”, but I had a lot of “V”, so I flipped it upside down to make the letter “A”

If you are looking for the letter “E” and are out of it, just use the number “3” backwards. “i” can be used with an “!” and vice versa. You can swap the letter “G” out for “6” and so on.

I wanted to add a little sass to the layout and found these sentiment strips that were perfect and exactly what we were doing in the pictures!

Part of the fun of scrapbooking is using what you have on hand. That can be challenging when you are trying to come up with a title — but not impossible. You just have to think outside of the box! Don’t be afraid to mix letter stickers, fonts or even cut things apart.

Until next time ~ Happy Crafting!
