Pearls and White — A Cut Cardstock Hop!

I am super excited to be joining in the amazing Cut Cardstock Hop. I hope you find my creation inspiring and useful. Before I share with you my project let’s go over the amazing prize for this hop and how you can win it. Up for grabs is a $40 gift card to Cut Cardstock! All you have to do is stop at each creator’s blog, check out their project and leave a comment or upload a project that includes Cut Cardstock products. That’s it! How awesome is that?

I created a goodie bag and matching candle base for a reception table.

These table settings came together in under 45 minutes with the help of a Mandalay die from Brutus Monroe and similar bag die from Tonic Studios. I used Vellum and Shimmery Black Metallic cardstock on both pieces. To adhere the vellum to the cardstock I used adhesive sheets. These worked wonderfully with the vellum! All you need to do is lay the vellum on the adhesive sheet on one of the sticky sides and run it through your die cut machine. I ran my vellum through with each die three times to make sure it cut all the way. Simply peel the vellum off to reveal the adhesive and place on the cardstock.

Liquid adhesive is the best option when assembling the gift bags. Place the vellum piece first on the bag before it is put together. Once the vellum piece is in place, the bag can be put together.

For the candle I die cut the same image on both the cardstock and vellum. I simply layered them by offsetting the vellum on top so the gorgeous shiny black could be seen.

This tablescape would be perfect for an elegant evening reception (black and white is classic) or a bridal shower.

Now it is your turn to hop on through to Judy’s blog. Also, make sure you check out CutCardStock for more inspiration. Don’t forget to leave a comment on my blog before you leave. What is your favorite wedding color scheme? Please consider following my blog too! I switched platforms and have not gained back all my followers, so I feel like I am at ground zero again when really I have been doing this for twenty years.

Until next time ~ Happy Crafting!
