Christmas Layouts that Shine

In 1993 I moved to Germany as a college transfer student. In the market there was the most beautiful shiny paper. I thought it was wrapping paper, but it was expensive. I later learned that it was foiled paper used to make stars to decorate Christmas trees. Upon returning to the United States I forgot about the gorgeous foiled paper until 2017.

In 2017 I attended Creativation and met the owner of Rinea. The owner had lived in Germany and learned how to make them as a little girl. She had a hard time finding it in the United States when she moved back and set out to bring it to America. That is how Rinea was born! It is a small business specializing in foiled paper. Of course there is so much more that can be done with the paper besides making stars. One of my favorite things to do with the foiled paper is create delicate dies by running it through my cuddle bug.

The foiled paper is surprisingly durable while feeling fragile. There is paper center that is sandwich between two pieces of thin foil.

When creating dies with Rinea Foiled Paper it is best to do two at a time. By folding the paper in half it allows it to release easier from the die.

The blush matches perfectly with Prima’s Frank Garcia Santa Baby line. The gold is a great addition to anything for Christmas as seen on the layout above.

There are so many things I use this paper on in my craft room. It has become a staple! Here are a few more things you can do with it:
